You Are Invited!

The Sixteenth Annual

Boar’s Head Feastival!

Sat. Jan 9th, 2016

A By-Invitation only gathering of folks who have meant a lot to our family over the years: kind of a family reunion of unrelated folks! Pot luck feast - we’ll provide the main course, drinks, &

the First National Bank Community Room at 312 Main St. in Smithville.

You provide the company, & a covered dish!

The legend of the Boar’s Head dates back to medieval times, when a philosophy student, studying in the forest outside London, was attacked by a raging wild boar! Having no other weapon, he thrust his bound volume of Aristotle‘s works (Ye Olde Booke of the Month Club selection, January, 1563) into the mouth of the beast, slaying him! His exploits came to symbolize the victory of reason over evil. So, we celebrate the good things in our lives, & the triumph of fun & silliness over boredom & modern life!

Please, bring a recipe for the dish you bring: we will have a recipe exchange. Live mike, food, original live music, food, fun, food, your company, & food! Please note that this is a dry, non-smoking site. Renaissance, Victorian/Neo-Victorian, Piratical, Western, or ethnic garb is highly encouraged, but come as you are, just please show up!

PLEASE RSVP ASAP!

Boar's Head XV saw the return of Johnny & Bambi & welcomed them to the Whirled Series appearance of the mighty Hoboken Hobos!
Boar's Head XIII was a smashing success: Good grub, great company, & gruesome theatrics combined in a great stew of fellowship, love, & hilarity. Huzzah!
